Category

A junior race boot for advancing intermediate and advanced young skiers, sharing all the architecture of the stiffer WCR 90 PV but with a softer, more accessible flex. The PV last gives medium-volume feet real working room while keeping the precision and heel hold that race fit demands.

Why we like it:

This is the right boot for a young racer who is technically sound and improving but doesn't yet have the strength to drive a 100-flex. The full PV last and Jr PRO EVO liner mean nothing about the fit is dumbed down; the only concession to ability is the flex itself, which actually translates to more confidence on snow.

Who it's for:

Advancing intermediate and advanced junior skiers, especially racers who are progressing through the categories and need real boot architecture at a workable flex.

Highlights:

The WCR 70 PV shares its DNA with the 90 PV, just with a softer flex tuning of 80/70. The PV 1750cc last runs through the 94 to 98mm range, giving medium-volume kid feet plenty of room without losing race-fit precision. The Jr PRO EVO liner with the HP frame footbed is the same liner as the higher-end junior boots; you're not getting a downgrade on comfort or moldability when you step down in flex. The shell carries the full feature set including cuff alignment, rear support tuning, JR racing spoiler, FIS-approved sole thickness, race balance geometry with 13 degree forward lean and 4 degree ramp angle, and the 45mm Velcro power strap. The short cuff is sized for junior leg length. Bootfitters can tune the flex up if the skier outgrows the 70 setting.

Things to consider:

This is built around junior leg length and proportions, so it's not the right pick for smaller-framed adults looking for a softer race boot. Also, while the PV last is more accommodating than RV, it's still a race fit; high-volume feet may still need work.

Fit & sizing considerations:

True to size with a junior race fit. The PV last is more forgiving than typical race lasts.
